Putney Names Experienced Negotiator as Senior Director of Business Development

Portland, Maine, June 24, 2008 — Putney, Inc., a specialty pharmaceutical company focused on development of generic drugs for companion animal veterinarians, today announced the addition of Stacey Vaughan to the management team as Senior Director of Business Development.

Ms. Vaughan will structure and negotiate deals with FDA approved and inspected manufacturers of generic drugs located in the U.S. and abroad. She will also be responsible for commercial partnerships and in-licensing agreements.

"As head of Business Development, Stacey is focused on the contracts and relationships with our alliance partners that deliver the products in our portfolio" said Jean Hoffman, president of Putney. "Stacey can now focus on completing additional deals to expand our portfolio of generic products for companion animal veterinarians and pet owners."

Prior to joining Putney, Ms. Vaughan was Director of Business Development at Catalent Pharma Solutions (previously Cardinal Health), a leading provider of advanced technologies as well as development, manufacturing and packaging services for pharmaceutical, biotechnology and consumer health companies. She was responsible for sales and business development functions for a patented, proprietary drug delivery technology. Stacey Vaughan has more than 13 years experience in the pharmaceutical industry.
