Portland, Maine—May 11, 2011— Putney, Inc., a rapidly growing pharmaceutical company focused on the development and sale of generic prescription medicines for pets, has appointed E. Thomas Corcoran to its Board of Directors. Corcoran served as President of Fort Dodge Animal Health, a division of Wyeth. “Putney is privileged to have Tom Corcoran join our Board of Directors as we deliver on our product pipeline for companion animal veterinarians. Tom’s deep experience, strategic vision, commitment to veterinary medicine, and network of talent will strengthen Putney,” says Jean Hoffman, CEO of Putney. “I’m impressed by the way Tom recruited top talent and created a high performing, customer focused organization that grew revenues and profits every year. I personally look forward to Tom’s contribution as an active Putney Board member,” says Hoffman.
Corcoran applauds Putney’s business strategy and is impressed with how Hoffman has positioned Putney to provide companion animal veterinarians with the highest level of service and the highest quality products they need most. “Putney generics allow veterinarians to provide the best medicine at the best price, keep pet owners coming back, and maintain the financial health of their practices,” says Corcoran.
